Safely made it to Pinehurst NC to stay with my Nana for a few days. Only one really eventful incident on the way up. Driving along the expressway just listening to a book on tape by David Sedaris when all of a sudden there is a honk from behind. I look out the rear view mirror and see my bike barely suspended on the bike rack. The whole back end was flopping in the breeze and the whole bike was ready to crash to its death on interstate 95 in the next few seconds. We quickly pulled off onto the side of the road to survey the damage. THe bike was still doing strong but needless to say I was a bit stressed for the rest of the ride and the vibrations knocking it off once more. So mom and I stopped at the next rest area and tied on as many bungees that would fit onto the bike securing it to the rack even more. Even after this I compulsively checked the rearview mirror for the rest of the ride.
But its great to be in Pinehurst and get to spend a bit of time with my family here. Off to the wilderness Saturday morning bright and early.
Happy graduation Al, wish I could have been there... so proud of you!
Cheers and Hugs

Glad to hear your "demented bike rake" that the boys couldn't put together made it up there - even if barely. Have a great time in the wilderness - we'll talk to you soon :)
