Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii Everyone! I hope all is well! Things are still going well here in NC and I'm having a great time. All staff training got over a couple of days ago and I've had the last 2 days off which has been great, haven't had any of those in a long time it seems like. I went white water canoeing again yesterday on a different river which was awesome. It had a lot of solid class III rapids and one big class IV. We actually walked around the first part of this rapid because there was a lightening storm coming in and becuase it is a place where a some people have died before so it was best that way. The rest of the river was amazing though, it is a protected river so it is really wild and away from roads and whatnot so it was georgeous. It was about 2 hours away in SC so we got back pretty late last night. I got to SLEEP IN today for the first time in about a month so I was pretty pumped about that. Then some of us went into town and grabbed some lunch ran some errends and went to see X Men III. It was weird but when I got out of the movie my head hurt and we decided that we were all over stimulated by electronics and that it was time to come back to base camp and watch the leaves grow some more. I know we lead a really really exciting life don't we :) haha.
Intern training starts tomorrow for the next 5 days. We are doing some logistics training and then some rocks and ropes training in there as well. Should be a good time. It is really weird but I have no idea what time or day or even month it is half the time. My watch has been on the fritz lately so that doesn't help my cause. It is really bizzare though never knowing what day it is or anything. I didn't even know what season it was last night... haha... oh well what are you going to do.
We don't really have weekend around here. The days that we get off are really not programmed or anything. It is more like hey you can have tomorrow and then another random day off. The chances that they actually fall on a weekend are probably slim. I dont know what that means for you guys visiting... (what do you think Pruess??) I'm hoping that this week I might actually be able to know in advance what days I get off but I'm not positive about that either. So odd.
Thanks for the posts. they were really fun to read! Sorry about the late phone calls the other night but yeah the whole non weekend thing makes me forget that the rest of the world is actually working during the week :) haha fun times.
Base camp is pretty empty right now since a lot of people have time off and are out doing stuff in town and what not.

I definitely want to come visit sometime! Especially if there is white water rafting/kayaking involved! I'm glad you are having a blast...keep the updates coming! Did you get mail from me yet?
Your daily life sounds awesome! I'd love to head down and get to see and do everything. It appears my summer is pretty open-the joys of being a teacher. Let me know what time you get off-I'd love to see you!
